Ryanair

Hope someone can help, I have managed to book a Hotel connect £10 room to Düsseldorf, now Ryanair have got cheap flights to Düsseldorf but the luggage cost really ups the price. Is it possible to take one bag for DH and I to share or do they not allow this?

They don't care what you carry in your bag.

The "no pooling" rule means that if two people have each booked one bag (2 x 15kg = 30kg), and they take a 20kg bag and a 10kg bag, the person with the 20kg bag will be charged for 5kg excess weight while the person with the 10kg bag will waste 5kg of their allowance.

Or just take handluggage.I just booked a £10 room too-you don't pay for handluggage 10kg each-its plenty-i have done 5 days with this.I often fly with ryanair in this way.

Select 0 bags and online check in,de-select the insurance (cunningly hidden in the middle of the countries list) and pay with visa electron (obtainable from the post office for no cc charge)

If you each travel with handluggage you can take 10kg each which is a fair bit.

We did this last year when we went to Budapest and easily managed. Just make sure that your wheelie case is the right size for Ryanair :)

Hope you manage to get to get your transport into Dusseldorf sorted out.

Each passenger (excluding infants) is permitted to carry one piece of cabin baggage on board (free of charge). Strictly one item of cabin baggage is permitted per passenger (excluding infants). Handbag, briefcase, laptops, shop purchases, camera etc must be carried within your permitted 1 piece of cabin baggage. It should weigh no more than 10kg and not exceed the maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. Due to security restrictions - certain items cannot be carried in cabin baggage - click here for details. For the safety and convenience of all passengers, cabin baggage must fit underneath the seat or in the overhead compartment. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation without refund and to deny you boarding if you arrive at the boarding gate with more than one item of cabin baggage or if that item exceeds the maximum dimensions.
