The best deal I can find is for £49 for the sky+ box and £50 Tesco vouchers. Is this the best deal and what happened to recommend a friend?

I think the deal at the minute is a free Sky+ box (installation £30).

If you go through quidco you get £30 cashback for skyplus and still get the box for £49 and free installation. There are also cashback if you get broadband etc from them.

I'm moving house and we're thinking of just getting a new sky account in my name instead of my partners and taking advantage of this great deal and get a new sky + box into the bargain
