The closest I can discribe is the noodles that came with Vesta Chow Mein many years ago, they were slightly opaque, a bit like the look of prawn crackers prior to frying, about 3 inches long & straight, . When put into hot oil just spiraled immediatley into crispy noodles.

The noodles I'm looking for are like the ones in this picture!
Anyone know the name or brand I should be looking for? I've told the kids how yummy they are and now I can't find them!! I should have kept quiet!!
I will try to get a nip in this week and have a look for you if I can

Just thinking, try tesco, sainsburys etc. They might stock those noodles?
I'll go look online just to see if they are listed.
I'm on the Ormeau Road tomorrow, will stick my head into shop on way past if I get a mo

You's are all very adventurous with food, i'd be cautious, only try what I know type of thing.
Is there anything you would recommend from the norm to have a go with? Relatives of mine have talked great things about some hot chinese lettuce starter. Anyone know what it sould be..(I forget):o0 -
I couldn't find water chestnuts in Tesco or Asda but knew someone heading up the Lisburn rd & got a couple of tins from Camseng, both chopped & whole.
As for the crispy noodles, I've just bought some of those blue dragon ones from my local Costcutter for £1.20....What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0
