How do I stop my phone displaying my balance?

I have a SE Z520i - every time I make a call or send a text the phone displays my remaining credit which atm doesn't change as I still have my free calls & messages allowance to use. Its a bit of a nuisance and it seems to stop new text messages coming through - I was sent a text the other night but didnt know about it until the next day. I hadn't cleared the balance from the screen and once I did that the phone beeped with the new message.

I've read through the manual but can't see anything about how to turn this off - anyone know?

if it's o2, then i think you need to ring customer services and get them to do it. Irritates me too
