Hi,
I'm about to buy a laptop online from Currys.
It's refurbished but I was wondering if any one thinks it's a bad idea to get refurbished?
Just trying to find a reason not to buy it!
They say this:
A refurbished product is either end of line stock or returned by a customer. They have been professionally checked, tested, data cleansed, repackaged with all basic accessories and has a full 12 month warranty. No ‘printed' manuals are supplied.
Do you think there would be any problem returning the item if it looks worse then I thought it would?

Distance Selling Regulations apply, so you can get a refund if you pay to send it back - you might also get a refund in store.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0

I think it's a bad idea. Hardware is so cheap nowadays, you can pick up a laptop new for £300ish. If this is too much then could you maybe save for a few more months?0

Personally, I wouldn't trust Currys to "professionally" do anything.0

Too right. Curry's aren't professional at anything. I bought a digital radio from them, but, conveniently, they placed the wrong price code on the shelf underneath it. It was priced at £50, but when I paid, it cost £100. So I returned it. Out of interest, I checked 2 other stores, and they'd done exactly the same thing. Obviously a ploy to increase sales. So I reported them!Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
Ahh damn too late, I've bought it already0

Oh well, I'm sure it'll be fine. I imagine most of the stuff they sell works.
I hope you got a good deal!0 -

You already have two reasons
1. It's refurbished
2. It's from Currys0 -
But those reasons don't include already having bought it!Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

My laptop is a refurbished Packard Bell from Dixons (same group as Currys I believe), it is a year old now, used daily by me and my children and has been perfectly fine!
Good luck with it!
