Anyone had Vanquis reduce their interest rate?

Options
Just curious, but has anyone had Vanquis lower their interest rate?

I've read in a few places that Vanquis do lower the interest rate once you've worked up to a £2000 credit limit, but I haven't come across anyone who can confirm.

I've had my card for approx 2 and a half years and havent had mine reduced. Im on a limit of £1500 at the moment.
  • I've had my Vanquis card 4 years; sometimes i pay in full but sometimes i use it for a big purchase (ie. I recently bought a flight on my credit card as I wanted the 'Visa' protection and took two months to pay it off). I've had regular credit limit increases and now i'm a 'gold account' member. In November I had a letter saying they have reduced my credit limit by 5% - pretty good, my limit is currently £2500, although I never use more than half that - mainly bcause of the ridiculous interest rate and also because i'm using it purely to build up my cridit history. Still, its good for credit building and i recently was approved for a Cap1 Progress card which is a good sign things are improving! I'm waiting for two settled defaults to fall off my file next year and then i think i might officialyy be in the 'ok' bracket (woohoo!).

Had vanquis card for one year, started on 39.9%, still 39.9% when closed. Used regularly, always paid on time, never overlimit.

OH also had Vanquis card, but for three years. Started £250 limit 59.9% APR, when closed three years later was on £3,000 limit 69.9% APR, again used regularly, always paid on time, never over limit.
