Thanks
i think they will only put one up for you, but if the room is like the ones at denham they are massive and i am sure a word when you get there and they will sort you out0 -
I booked Oxford and emailed the hotelto put 2 beds in the standard double room, and got an email back today stating they had changed my booking to show 2 children as well as 2 adults. They did however say that there would not be a lot of space left in the standard room and we might be better paying £30 extra per night to upgrade to a delux room.mumontherun wrote: »Does anyone know please if the Wychwood or Staverton Park standard rooms will take a couple of put-u-up beds for kids?

those that booked with kids did you just book with adults and amend the bookings after confirmation as i can't get any rooms if i include kids.

Thanks for the replies.
Have phoned Staverton Park and they said you would have to pay a £15 supplement to go in a Classic room if you wanted 2 extra beds.0 -
Someone asked about rooms near Alton Towers. I have two family rooms in a travelodge near Alton Towers for during May half-term which I booked in the sale, but can no longer use unfortunately. (I had three but one's now gone-thank you, you-know-who!)
If anyone's interested, please feel free to PM me. :-)

Thanks for this, is the Wellington different to the executive centre?
Thanks to all the people reassuring about the room quality. I have never experienced this with de vere in the past either so I'm sure they'll be lovely.
I would say, as others have said, there would be some diffiiculty accomodating two extra beds in a staverton park standard, but the sesrvice there is brilliant. Particularly if you ask for a receptionist "grey-haired Philip" (he told us to call him that when we rang - I'm not being offensive!!), he has been great sorting us out with combining all of our bookings and requesting rooms close together for our party. :money:
Oh have just noticed your post mumontherun, but thought I'd leave this on in case its still useful for anyone!
K xxi can never think of anything witty to write :rolleyes:0 -

No, I found two Deveres that had Classic Family rooms (which basically meant putting put-u-up beds in there for the children). They are Ascot & Haslemere, there might be more, but I haven't been through them all. Still only paid £10 or £19 for the family room.0 -

Have just checked, here are the Deveres where you can actually book Classic Family or Signature Family rooms on their website:
Milton Hill - Abingdon, Oxford
Sunningdale Park - Ascot
Daresbury Park - Warrington
Whites - Bolton
Haslemere - don't seem to be offering family rooms anymore throughout the summer but were.
Obviously from reading the above posts, it appears if you make a request for extra beds in the other Deveres hotels aside from the ones above, they can do it but may charge you a supplement.0 -
That is what I did and just emailed them afterwards and got a reply saying they had ammended my booking to show 2 children as well. I understand they stay and eat for free. However maybe some rooms in some locations are not big enough to accomodate a double and a couple of singles, so maybe worth ringing the venue direct before booking or seeing if you can book 2 adjoining rooms. I have also noticed that each morning they extend the booking dates for 1 day eg today it is now booking until Friday 31st July, yesterday, it was Thursday 30th July. If someone wants a Saturday night (ie. 1st August) it might be worth checking tomorrow early am. I have just booked a family room for £10 at Ascot on 31st July, as will do Legoland trip that day and saves heading back towards London in traffic.those that booked with kids did you just book with adults and amend the bookings after confirmation as i can't get any rooms if i include kids.

Wychwood Park near Crewe - I think about 30 miles from Alton Towers. £10 rooms available on some dates.
HTH!
Everytime I try to book 2 adults 2 children I get a sorry nothing available ( or words to the effect of )
Does anyone know if this hotel just doesn't have the larger rooms regadless of any date I try.
Wanted to do Alton Towers with a 2nd day cheap rate entrance.0
