Thanks for this, booked a weekend in summer at Wokefield Park.

Does anyone have any experience of this hotel? From what I can gather there are two different parts, the executive centre and the mansion house . Would anybody recommend a particular room, or building?

    Thanks

    K :)

Thanks for this, I have booked Highfield Park, had a slight problem that it booked me a single room for the 23rd May. Not much good as I was booking a night away for me and DH for his birthday. I have telephoned them and they said the hotel didn't have any double rooms for that night but have offered me the 16th May instead. This means we can't go to my 3 year old nephew's birthday party which means my brother and sister-in-law will be a bit annoyed. On the up-side DH will be pleased as he didn't want to go to a 3 year old's party anyway. Am now slightly concerned that there are lots of poor reviews for this hotel on tripadviser.

Thank you so much for this. Just managed to book Greenwich for July. I used to live in Greenwich and love it there - can't wait to go back. Also hotel gets good reviews on trip advisor.

From experience you will be in the Executive Centre, if you can get into the Mansion House then do, but I doubt your chances would be very high for that.

Unfortunately Wokefield Park has some drab outdated rooms which they seem to palm off to this promotion, I’m not saying they’re terrible, just compared to other De Vere’s I’ve stayed on the cheap they are no match!

From recollection on the times we’ve stayed there we have always been on the bottom floor, and upon wondering about the hotel noticed that upstairs appeared to be nicer. I believe they had plans to update the bottom floor, but it may be worth coming up with an excuse that you would prefer a room in a higher floor.

    Hope this helps

p.s. stayed at the daventry hotel over easter, and booked to go back in june!
really pleasant hotel, lovely rooms, free wireless, computer area, and tea coffee and biscuits. Leisure club nice, though small, and treatments at the spa were really good. Didn't bother with breakfast, went to the wetherspoons in daventry instead. lovely setting, really clean and modern, with great service.
    enjoy your stay!

I feel all helpful today, thats the De Veres I just stayed at on Friday, it is a very lovely hotel indeed, I found the staff to be very friendly indeed, the room was lovely, well decorated, stylish with a nice tv and v.comfy bed (by memory I think we stayed in 271)

We didn't eat in their restaurant, but did eat in the bar, where the food was very reasonably priced (Pasta meal cost less than the large glass of wine about £5) and it was pretty ok and there was lots of it!
