can anyone explain the meal deal pleasethat everyone seems to be buying - is there a glitch that i am missing out on ? I normally make my own lunch when i get work to keep the cost down but cos i am on supply i run out of the house when i get a phone call for work to get there on time clutching a packet of cereal or some fruit or 1/2 price slimfast whatever is the nearest. Would be nice to have a propper lunch if it is a good deal.
Yes sometimes i do have to check if im dressed, do shoes match, hair combed

Hi vicki L , thank you for pointing out this worthy cause and i will take the time to look into it , having 3 young children myself, just a little word of warning though. There is a charities thread and it may be better placed there as there have unfortunately been a number of problems with charity requests on this thread and this goes against MSE posting rules on this thread, sorry to have to point it out:o.

The thing with Postpals is that you can send something directly to one of the kids on the site by using the address posted on their individual page. There is no swapping of details with other posters on this site, and you are not relying on the honesty and integrity of someone else here as you are sending your gift directly to the child in question outside of MSE. Postpals is a great charity which i only found out about through this thread late last year, and i'd encourage everyone to go and have a look at their site when they have the time as its a very sobering reminder of just how lucky some of us are.

And on that very off topic note:o i'm off to catch up on about a months worth of this thread:eek: x

If anyone is hoping to get the Ped Egg for £6.95 as advertised in the Boots Mag you may be disappointed. Tried to get my local to honour this price when it scanned at £9.78 but SA went to check and came back and said typo in mag.
There are now signs on the display saying as such :o

I bought one from the market for £1 - have yet to test it!

The current ones (the ones I've gotten, anyway) expire next Tuesday, so new ones most likely start next Wednesday. Ditto for the facial voucher, I believe.

aintree - loads of the mens stuff reduced down again - fcuk 25p and then buy 2 get the 3rd free:D KOS 38p for the oil etc
1gb memory card down from £18.** to £4.97:D
ALL the toys were on clearance - thomas, fifi, in the night garden etc some great bargains
some eye lash curlers down to £1
compeed cold sore stuff £1.23 on clearance

I then went to Central 12 southport and NOTHING in the mens section had been reduced down again:o

Hi nikinackyloo, I would like to thank you for posting this really helpful message. I read it just before I left to go bootsing with another bootser. We went to Aintree and managed to get a good range of reductions on the KOS, Fcuk, Time Delay, and Hackett and some other things off the clearance. I was doing an exchange so I incorporated my shopping into the exchange, so I ended up paying approx £2.50 in total for loads of mens stuff.

We also went to another Boots after that and bought even more of the same ranges (But different products) In total I spent approx £8 and gained almost £17 in pts. Thanks to buying Georgous Feet (reduced of course) and some other H&B vouchers and double pts etc.

Thanks again for letting us know, it was a great post for me, and particularly well timed.:T:T:T

yes, SA permitting! I used a few today on the face scrub;):D

Should definitely work on a SS till. Be warned that some SA's can be complete nightmares. Generally they are OK, but if they start reading the voucher, lights out! Also, are people printing them out in black and white or in colour? I tried black and white ones last week, and the SA had a right big kerfuffle. But if you do get to use them, it's a treat at the moment as most of the KOS items are now just a bit more or just a little less than £1.00, so technically free. And the "anti bacterial scrub" is good! Works for me.

    Hi Strawberryberry

there are sometimes glitches on the meal deals which is another reason people buy them too.

Look out for bogof on drinks, as you get both for the price of the meal deal.

Ocassionally people have found chocolate goes through on the meal deal, like the mini bag of chocolate eggs, the large bags of maltesers.

Although I think they sussed this one as there is now a sticker saying items must be under a certain price to qualify for the meal deal.
