What is the ACM voucher and is it still available?
Thanks.
Advantage Card Machine which is instore - pop your card in and hopefully said voucher should show it's face:p
Hmm just realised you are an old time mse'er - is that what you meant? If not it is 100 extra points on certainpurchases and some items are on the reduced stand.
Think I need to go to bed as my posts are becoming full of carp!!!0 -
i have the same problem techspec, am a great big fat elephant as I hate exercise and love all the wrong types of food.
do you have any 100 points vouchers? especially for men's stuff, some stores were reducing a lot of men's stuff and if you had the 100 points vouchers, they were a nice boost to your AC.
Yes popped in today, and used up my health club coupons (got 2 lots of vitamins and omega 3 and managed to use 3 coupons for the same items). Also used 200 points on £20 shop etc). This left me just about 400 points short. Boots was closing so never got to use the 100 point coupons, but i do have some, aswell as another set of mailshot coupons, so should get there tomorrow.0 -

Thanks - went to machine today, but don't seem to have the coupon for the expert haircare glitch.0 -
Hi Techspec :hello:
If you have a BMI of over 28 then ask your doctor for orlistat which is double the strength of alli. Will save a fortune and of course the GP can offer you much more advice on the issues when taking them and the need to suppement etc...without digging into your boots pointsEdinburghlass wrote: »Would all users please remember that medical advice should not be given anywhere on MSE and everyone should ask their dr and not post a question or indeed answer a question on MSE, thank you.
Incidentally, I reported this thread some hours ago regarding arguements and medical advice so I daresay the thread will be tidied up in the morningYou mean she's not a doctor:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Edinburghlass, you quoted my post, so I presume you are refering to my post?
techspec did not ask for medical advice
I have not given medical advice either
My post states that alli, known as orlistat also, can be prescribed by GP's for those with a BMI over 28 if they are found suitable.
My post states that they should visit their GP as their GP is able to give advice on side effects and on supplementing.
Telling a member to go to their GP for advice is not offering medical advice.
Advising a member to visit their GP for medical advice and a prescription is not outside of the rules of MSE ... much better than someone taking alli, with a leaflet ...to advise of that would be irresponsible ... not the other way around0 -
techspec, keep trying, one day that voucher isn't there, and one day miraculously it is....0

Thanks will do.
Sounds like your post will be erased tommorrow, but saving money is what this forums all about, and telling me to see a doctor first is probably a good idea anyway.
Not medical advice - more common sense. :T
P.s someone asked me the other day if this could be obtained from a doctor (she was worried about the cost), and i said i doubt it. So you have helped 2 people, as i will give her the same advice tommorrow.0 -

Oh unlucky, sorry I put botanics in there - didn't mean to. I didn't do the expert glitch so haven't looked to see of I was offered the vouchers, will have a check tomorrow and see if I am offered them but I was offered some new ones on Wednesday so maybe not available anymore?. Am off to bed so nite all x0 -

Uhuh...far better than simply picking up a bottle of pills from the chemist with a leaflet. Alot of people using alli are not even suitable for it, so it can be dangerous. Alternatively they may refer you for an excercise programme, even better0 -

£1 a day is a lot of money!
Prescriptions are not cheap, but still much, much cheaper :T0 -

Advising someone to ask for something that is double the strength of a non prescription drug available in Boots certainly sounds like medical advice to me, however have it your own way, you obviously know a great deal about the subject.0
