had a little trip to Aintree this morning - nothing worth mentioning - they dont have any of the expert free hair stuff so dont bother going specifically for that:rolleyes:

Speke this afternoon - bit of a nightmare! spent over £5 on expert stuff and got the free hair stuff and voucher wouldnt scan, so SA overrode it but basically just un-scanned the free hair thing so it only took the £6.66 off - so no great bargains for me, ended up spending over £5 on stuff I dont need for a hair loss thing that I will never use:o need to have a little word with myself I think;) on a plus side though, got £52 worth of clothes for my little man for £9.90 using all three coupons - two pairs of tracksuit bottoms, a pair of jeans, shirt, cardigan and hoodie:D

Hi all, hubby told me today he wants a pair of prescription sunglasses. I think he actually wants a regular prescriptionpair that you can attach some kind of sunglass shade to. But I have a voucher that expires tomorrow for 50% off prescription sunglasses at Boots (this was the till spit from a couple of weeks ago).

So, does anyone know how much we can expect to pay for rx sunglasses at Boots? I looked online, and it was confusing. The prices were about 58 quid, but it didn't as about your rx anywhere, so maybe the prescription lenses were extra? Also, was thinking if we did it on the deal where you get a pair free if you spend over 75, we could get the RX glasses and use the voucher and then a plain pair for free?

Any ideas? Or anyone know of a cheaper place to shop?

With regard to Boots I got some 1/2 price with voucher. Its 1/2 standard vision lens and frame price but any extras are full-price. So scratch resistant or varifocal lens are full price.

    Hi All

Not been bootsing in a while but did reasonably well today at the small one in Waterloo Station:

    Elvive Anti Frizz Shampoo, 400ml - 84p
    Elvive Repairing Shamppo - 250ml - 57p
    HE Mositure Balancing Cond - 400ml - 73p
Trevor Sorbie Moisture Shampoo mini - 39p

Annoyingly the HE was on BOGOF but mine was last on shelf. There was a lot of the Elvive and there were some deals on Fructis hair care (not shampoo / cond but hairstyling stuff). Also wierd that TS shampoo mini reduced but not conditioner?? I need both for when I go swimming!!!

Bought a few more bits to get a hairy.

Wanted to get T&G Detox Shampoo (SEL £1.35) and JF Weatherworks Conditioner (SEL £1.12) with hairy.

However SA told me it was one voucher for one item. I pointed out this wasn't on the voucher but she said the till wouldn't allow it. I tried to argue for a bit but she said I could have the T&G detox for free and so I took this, not bad as original price over £5.xx but see on here that others have been buying various 'professional' brands and then getting £2 off total.

Of the 'pro' brands with reduced SEL they had JF Blonde shampoo, JF Weatherworks Shampoo and Conditioner all for £1.xx They also had T&G hairstyling creme or putty or something (didn't examine as wouldn't use) also with reduced SEL of £1.xx
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Hi guys

not posted for ages as had no bargain or decent vouchers! Today I tried the hair voucher with 2 products @ £1.18 each and only got £1.18 taken off. We alwaysused to be able to get several products with £2 off the total but looks like this has been scuppered :(

  • Hi all! It's been a while since I've been able to post (or go Bootsing for that matter)!

    Had a good shop today!

Saw loads of 200ml size pantene and head&shoulders shampoos and conditioners for between 46 and 48p.
Also got Loreal kids lavender 47p.

Did manage to use a "hairy" on 2x umberto gianni products (£1.18 each) - total £0.36 to pay.

Hope you all had a good bootsing day!:D

Saw this on another MSE thread HTH

boots mens botanics glitch? boots have the mens botanics range buy one get one half price.. they also have mens skincare on 3 for 2 ( various brands) anyways dh bought 2 of the botanics mens moisturiser thinking ok will only get one half price, when we went to pay the lady said is coming up 3 for 2 as well so rang one of the moisturisers in twice and sure enough it made no difference to the price, even she was confused lol sorry if thats confusing but basically what we got was 1 at full price, 1 at half price and the third was nothing so 3 of them for approx £7ish depending on what u buy... as far as i can see this only works on the mens botanics range hth

I want to purchase some eye shadow. I really dislike glitterly and shiny eye shadows just shows up my creases and wrinkles :rotfl:

Can anyone suggest any boots brands and colours to try. I am pale skinned, blonde with blue eyes.

    Thanks in advance.

Oh and I did get some nice pantene hair masks for a £1 each and some breakage conditioner for 75p each., SA had to look again as I bought two of each and it came to £3.50.

  • I went to look for reduced shampoo. But was not very lucky. I too got a single old style HE conditioner, It was the only one of the shelf so didn't get the bogof. 73p.
Other than that I just bought some stuff I needed. I got more fridge frames I think they are brilliant, none of the grandshildren have to feel left out now as they are all on the fridge.
I forgot to use the 200 points voucher though.

    Calley,

Revlon have a range of Matte Eyeshadows. Have to say though that I tried the brown one recently and it didn't last the day for me but I do have oily skin and I had sun cream on which made it worse so that may be why. You could try a tester in store and see if it works better for you. I know there is blue, brown and green.
