It goes into a split at the top but is a line up to half way up the toenail if that makes sense? I'd post a photo but I dont know how, and feet are minging. And I mean feet in general not my own:rotfl:I hate feet.
  • Thank you for the tip about the Scholl cream for rageddy nails-I'm going to get some and try it to solve my finger nail problem.

For about 3 years now I have had a vertical split in my thumb nail, about half a centimetre long. I have to keep the nail cut really short otherwise the two edges catch on things and rip down further. I had a false nail stuck on it once, to see if it would heal, but that didnt work. The nail technician said that the nail bed has been fractured, which is why it continues to grow like this. I have tried various lotions and creams, and also supplements and vitamins to help from inside, all to no avail.

If any one else has suffered from this problem, I would LOVE to know if you have ever managed to grow it out, cos I think I have got it for life and it makes me very sad :(

Don't think you've got it for life. I bit my nails constantly from when I had teeth LOL until last year. I decided to stop biting my nails as I wanted to have nice nails to show off my engagement ring :D

I got some moisturising cream and every chance I got I massaged it into and around my nails. Various nail "experts" told me that my nail bed was irrepairably damaged due to the persistant biting. I persisted and my nails began to grow. Slowly, and very strong. I kept this up for ages, every opportunity I got.

The massage improves the circulation to your nail bed so strengthens and feeds it. My nails now grow very quickly and I put it down to the constant massage. Don't think it matters what you massage in, its the massage action that helps. The nail experts who told me my nail bed was damaged, were wrong!

If it's as a result of trauma to the nail matrix - e.g. having you nail caught in the car door - then it won't grow out, sorry :(

Did exactly that - bizarrely caught my finger in the car door. The nail went black and was abit disfigured, but after awhile the entire nail peeled / dropped off (eeewwwww - can't remember which) and the new nail grew perfectly underneath. So long ago can't even tell which finger it was.

Just back from a quick trip to London Colney. Was gutted as I found some no17 blushers reduced to £1 in the reduced section. Picked up 2 and then went to get the GWP only to find that they had run out .

I did manage to get some lovely reduced hair care (although not an awful lot left - lots of empty slots) and used a hairy. Also treated myself to a sanctuary reed defuser and got the GWP.
There's a skinny woman inside me screaming to be let out. A cookie soon shuts her up!!! :rotfl:

Used the 2 x £2 off haircare vouchers I had and bought some reduced Lee Stafford and UG items.
But the till only deducted the price of the 1st item in each transaction even though I had 2 x reduced items each time.

I have now used my vouchers and still have masses of shampoo from other promos, Pantene and HE etc.
So I am not fussed about getting another voucher and spending more to get it.
Unless the Acm, spits out a great coupon of course. :)
A great glitch will turn up sooner or later! I can wait a while.
But happy shopping to those who are still doing so this month,

I have not had a mailing in nearly 2 years and this weekend i got one!!! so it really is random eh. Unfortunately my two total spend vouchers were ifi spent £40 or more- not £15 like some lucky people on here, doubt i want to spend £80 just to get £9 of points.

edit-just checked and it is only £7 of points pfft!! for an £80+ spend. noway Mr B tut tut!

    Can i just ask

If i have a 350 points coupon wys £40- does this have to be before or after other vouchers have been taken off?

For example, i would want to get
3 evening primrose oil capsules (with 200 offer points at minute)
    diesel for women fragrance
2 no7 cosmetic products for women
    a no7 product for men
(hopefully something will come off as 342 here)
    some photos
    something from haircare

and i would want to use
    £5 fragrance voucher
    £2 haircare spit
    save £2 no7 cosmetic acm
save £2 no7 for men acm
    save £1.50 wyb 30 0r more photos
£2.50 off wys £10 or more on healthcare

would the spend have to be £40 AFTER all these vouchers or before in everyones opinion?

    thanks in advance x

total spend 350 points wys £40
    and double points coupon

After having no joy finding any good reduced haircare products in my local store, I went to Boots when I visited Lyme Regis this weekend and got a couple of fab bargains.

I found the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Weather Works Shampoo, Conditioner and Sealant Creme all reduced so I bought one of each. Original cost should have been £17.52, reduced price was £4.39 and I used my £2.00 haircare voucher so the total cost was only £2.39.

I was really chuffed - can't say the same about my OH when he saw the Boots bag though......! :embarasse:rotfl:
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/
