Agreed, it depends on your requirement. The cost basis with Vodaphone 3g PAYG deal is completely different, very good for occasional use or if your main broadband is down for the odd day. Not sure that the pricing model of 3 suits this.

This has a micro sd memory card slot (up to 4gb cards)

I can't see any problem in buying one of these if your already in a contract. The sim card would certainly be interchangable, as long as it's a three one. All you are doing is paying the postage. In fact I'm intending to do the reverse. Ie check coverage/reception with this dongle and then Maybe get a contract on the basis of that. :money:

Even if the 3 mobile singnal is not up-to scratch these modems can be network unlocked just like a phone.

Well my payment went through Mastercard 'securecode' so draw your own conclusions.

I activated RAPPORT to give security. However not all it seems the PAYG element is £10,£15 or £25 a month but the downside is that all the money expires after thirty days so not a good deal for me.
