Grrr, Nationwide Internet Banking Down

  • Hiya,

I was worried when I first saw all my Nationwide accounts showing N/A, but as mentioned it now states on the website that the internet banking site is down. My A&L online banking is down temporarily too.

Hopefully they'll sort it out soon. Thanks to all the posters on here it was reassuring to know I wasn't the only one.

Hi - I just rang (12.20) and they say to try and log on this afternoon - they should be up and running in about an hour (if you believe that!) Main thing is not to log yourself out by logging on when it's on the blink. I have done that before and had to have things reset which takes a while.

Nationwide said the problem, which was being investigated, had affected the system for most of Sunday, and followed routine maintenance work.

    [...]

The problem started after routine maintenance finished at 0300 BST on Sunday.

Earlier in the day there was sporadic access to the system, before the system failed completely.

Jeez how would we have coped 15 years ago?

Bank branches open 10am to 3pm, no telephone or internet banking services of any value.

How reliant we are on our laptops eh!

Amazing how much our expectations have moved.

    Not before time though.

All we need now is for the NHS to use it's expensive equipment more than 4.5 days per week!
