Here it is - you can apply online too.

    http://www.service-scan.com/

Yes you can but you go through a long queue.

I might as well come clean here and say that I am the London and South East supervisor for Service Scan. ;)

I don't allocate for them at the moment as there isn't much work so the office do all that direct, but I recruit new shoppers as we always need "fresh blood".

Can anyone view that Bare Geo Map? It seems to have broken for me on every browser!

    It just says "Loading".

TBH I usually still use my old link to Bare, as it still works - the one where you can search by country or county.

Online spellcheckers use American English, in which inquiry also means "enquiry". I get very irritated when spellcheckers change "proper" English. Which is why I don't use them.

I do use them - you just have to watch what you're doing, and not just take the spellchecker's word for it. :)

Exactly. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I have no problems with the existing system at BARE - and when I did try the new feature, I didn't think much because it didn't actually show all the jobs in my area, when it did they were often in completely the wrong places. I also couldn't look at jobs in other areas I sometimes cover in the same view, and it also doesn't show jobs such as phone/email jobs obviously.

I usually say good atmosphere as that takes up more letters :)
Oh dear, I find that I often have to compromise on what I want to say because there aren't enough letters for me to write everything! (For ABA-i, at least. For RE there's usually too much space!)

Does anybody here do any work for Serve Legal? I realised I signed up with them ages ago, but have never received any emails, and I gave up on checking their website a while ago. I'm thinking of emailing them - but does anybody on here have any experience of them? Ta.

    Hi Quasar,

Could you tell me how likely it is that the employment references would be taken up, please? I ask as I do mystery shopping in my spare time, and would not feel comfortable asking my current employer to give me a reference, and it is two years since I left my last places (which were all part time while studying).

I may try phoning, as I'm sure this is one of the websites that I have looked at and not got round to applying to for the reason given above.

    Thanks for the heads-up!

If you apply to them via the normal channels they will want references. You could apply via myself direct, as in some cases they do not require references for that, particularly if you are in one of the areas where we need new shoppers urgently.

However please note that you could give private references ie. not your employers and explain your reasons. Since you work for other MS companies, that should count in your favour.

At this point I want to say that Service Scan are highly specialised in high quality restaurants and some posh stores visit. As such they don't have the volume of work that the likes of TNS and others have and some shoppers may get two or three visits per year depending on the area. A good, reliable shopper in London may get three or four per month. Our questionnaires are LONG and require lots of comments. Some visits pay travel, some don't. However the allowances for restaurants tend to be good and we do pay a fee.

I said the above because time and again we get new shoppers who accept work then they are horrified by the questionnaire. ;)

If you require assistance please PM me.

    Morning.

I was quite worried about doing some of the pharmacy jobs today for R E, in light of the previous posts indicating that staff knew they were were being mystery shopped.

As luck with have it, I cant do them as daughter woke up ill with temperature and will have to take her to the doc. Not glad, obviously, but quite relieved.

So, if anybody wants to do some in Glasgow I have released them.

    xx
