    Sigh.........

    Still no payment from Aba-i

I've just got my final payments from Aba-i (catalogue shops) so that's all of them in now. These did take longer than usual though, so hopefully everyone should have theirs soon.

Roll on the next lot of jobs from them - they are some of my favourites!:D

Maybe you could phone the station and ask? Say that you're meeting a friend off the train and want to meet them on the platform?

thanks i have been on phone trying to get through to a regional number. finally got through and they think there is access to everywhere. i am hoping this is correct as last time i went there this was not the case as with it being an international station they seemed to have stepped up security or something. i will just have to risk it and find out tomorrow :)

You do need a ticket to get in, there are gates at the entrance of the station - you cant get in without swiping your ticket. You also need a valid ticket to get out :) But you could always purchase a ticket to take you to Wye (which is only a couple of £) - you will then be able to access the platforms

thanks debthater this is what i thought from ages ago when we used a train last. but ive called a regional number and they say theres access to all platforms for anyone. i really think this is wrong. im not earning enough to have to fork out for tickets as well plus if i get a ticket to wye i am likely to go there for a coffee as id like to be able to rent there :D

I would imagine the call centre you phoned is National Rail? They dont really know much about the stations apart from what disabled facilities there are.

I have never been able to get access to the platforms without a ticket - its their new security measure to ensure people dont get on trains without paying

  • Does anyone know if there are time restrictions on clothes shops on abai ?? Am thinking of booking one but don't know if I have to go before 5pm or if I can go in the evening after work. Don't want to book it and then cancel

Whey can't these companies give plenty of details before you book the visit ?

I booked a bargain retail (if thats the one you mean) but had to release as you had to visit twice - one to buy and once to return the item and both had to be between 11-3 (or 11-5) so had to release as i wanted to do my first bit at 10am .....yes it is annoying they don't tell you these things in advance, especially as you must leave at least 25 mins between visits usually!!
