Yes I read it. I was just saying that I tried to initially join here over a week ago(maybe even two weeks by now). My email address is not a problem but I am not able to use the site. So I thought it was just somewhere dodgy or maybe somewhere that only allows you in if you are recommended. But now I know other people use it as a valuable resource for work I wanted to know if anyone knew what the problem with my account could be. I am not a complete idiot and I do not need to patronised..... I was just hoping for some help that is all as I am now posting lots of alerts in the alert board as and when I come across something to help everyone so I thought it might be a way I could also get a bit of help to find more work.
I do not mean for this email to sound offensive btw but I thought this thread was here so we could ask for help from friendly people.0 -

Angel we are generally all friendly - blindman has RSI or something which apparently prevents him/her from being polite, if I remember correctly. His/her advice is however useful so you have to ignore what looks to be rude or patronising; I don't think it's meant that way (I like to think)0 -
I have now reread my initial post and I put I just went there and registered what I meant to say is I just went back there from your link and realised its the place I have already tried to register (am registered - not sure what stage I am at?) that still wont let me in. Sorry for the confusion I am in the middle of a billion things today as well as cleaning all the wooden furniture in between so my brain is a bit frazzled.0

thank you - now i reread my initial post I started the confusion so not his fault. As for being abrupt I am sure newbies annoy everyone at times asking what sound like silly questions becuase we dont know how things work. But we are ALL new to every situation at some time or another and know that when we are in a new situation we like to think helpful people can offer good advice.
As for RSI what treatments have you tried blindman and did a professional career at a desk cause it? I had back surgery in 2007 due to bad working conditions and was then made redundant so I know full well what bad companies can do to you0 -
Can anyone tell me, the points score thing you get on RE. What is it actually for? Do they stop offering you things if you fall below a certain level? I could dispute some of the 'proofreading' queries they keep coming up with, most of which are totally ridiculous (they rang to ask if someone wore glasses. Well, no, if they had I'd have put that down. They didn't have a wooden leg or a big bushy beard either, but I didn't feel the need to note all the things they didn't have...). It annoys me that they dock points for this kind of thing but I can't see how it's harming anything.... unless one of you knows different?0

FAQs
Ok, blindman has suggested that I stick an FAQ list in the 2nd post on this thread, so lets compile a lit...
1. How long does it take for my Retail Eyes probationary status to change?
2. Why can I see X job on R.E?
3. How do I add new clients to ABAI - how should we answer this on a public forum?

Blindman is a very experienced, helpful and knowledgeable MSer. Please don't feel offended by his direct approach. He's perfectly affable -- just doesn't waste words on pleasantries.Never mash cheese: it bends the fork.0 -

There are some jobs where the client requests their 'best' shoppers. If you cancel jobs or lose points you can be blocked from seeing these. However, the points system isn't as straightforward as it looks. They work out their 'best' shoppers on a percentage system rather than how high your score is. This means that if you ever cancel a job, you then have less than 100% and you are no longer 'best'. I really wouldn't worry about it though. As far as I know, that only currently excludes you from Spanish style restaurants. Sorry if I haven't explained that very well.Never mash cheese: it bends the fork.0 -
