OK, Accidently I clicked on the wrong card whilst purchasing three cheap CD's from Amazon. now HALIFAX are charging me £35 per CD plus £28 unauthorised overdraft fee!
Is there anything I can do about this?
I spoke to a manager that told me I can close my account and go elsewhere:mad:

If you're here, then you can reclaim the charges back. See Martin's guide to reclaiming.0 -

I am surprised the bank authorised this considering it was a card transaction, did you do each transaction seperatley?0

Similar vein... I haven't exceeded my £200 overdraft in years, but for some reason last month I did and made 3 purchases without realising totaling £75 and they are charging me £105 in charges which seems extreme. Having not been in this position before and new to this forum, I wonder if anyone could offer any advice. I am tempted to move my accounts elsewhere, but that will be a lot of hassle.
Any ideas gratefully received unless I am being unreasonable!0 -
If you haven't had previous goodwill on your bank account Halifax will reverse all charges from the same day. Seeing a manager did not offer you this I am assuming you've had previous goodwill?Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.0

I have a Flex account with nationwide and went overdrawn and was charged £30 pounds for being overdrawn then another £20 in interest charges. Total £50 pounds for £8 overdrawn. The great British bank rip off.blaque*angel wrote: »OK, Accidently I clicked on the wrong card whilst purchasing three cheap CD's from Amazon. now HALIFAX are charging me £35 per CD plus £28 unauthorised overdraft fee!

The £20 interest was nothing to do with being £8 overdrawn. Do you have an overdraft and how much is the overdraft?onedaydebtfree wrote: »I have a Flex account with nationwide and went overdrawn and was charged £30 pounds for being overdrawn then another £20 in interest charges.
