If you put something in the public arena on these threads you will get a mixed bag of answers.

Sometimes the OP posts a rant sure that everyone will agree with them and then gets really upset when they don't and starts name calling etc. We all rant and get upset by things but sometimes it's good to get the other point of view, even if it's not the answer you want as it does get you thinking.

With these anonymous forums the written word does sometimes come over as harsh or harsher than intended because it's can be hard to convey your feelings. The majority of posts are not personal and you shouldn't take them as such.

If someone is truely abusive to you, you can report via the abuse button.

I totally agree with Poppy - if you ask for an opinion or advice its no good getting upset or cross simply because you don't get the answers you really want. There are people who post - ostensibly looking for advice but, in reality, they are only wanting confirmation that their view is right.

What I don't like though is the people who jump down other peoples throats with one sentence replies like 'Get a life!', 'Why are you trying to rip this company off?', 'What do you expect for £X.....?' etc. when the OPs are genuinely just trying to get advice when things have gone wrong and there is no evidence that anyone is trying to rip anyone else off. People might think some of the enquiries are too small or petty to bother with but there is no need to demean the people who are asking just because you wouldn't bother with it. Different people have different expectations.
