My daughter came out with cp, the day after my youngest was born, we were told that it was highly unlikely that baby would get it & to just carry on as usual, 2 weeks later my 3 boys got it, then 2 weeks after that my baby daughter got it aged 4 weeks! Luckily it was only very mild, but still very worrying in such a young baby.

I'm so glad they have all had it now so we don't have the risk of holidays being ruined, but saying that i had it twice as a child, so you never know:rotfl: Also, youngest daughter had shingles last year, which is contagious the same as cp (only gives cp not shingles) so there's always the risk of that, lol, oh the joys of children!

sorry to hear news marco but i thought that might be the case as they keep appearing for quite a few days then the same time for them all to scab over makes it longer than seven days in the end as they all appear different times! never mind glad she'll be getting better soon probably over the worst of it now good luck with insurance and holiday next week have a great time!

    Hi,

Thought I would tell you all that this drama had a happy ending. DD got a lot better at the weekend and all the spots have started to fade away. She got a clean bill of health from the doc to fly on Thursday.

We have booked up the same hotel and separate flights and it has actually came down to nearly half of what we paid originally. Hopefully the insurance will pay up soon and that will be the end of it all. At least thats chicken pox out the road for child no 1.
