there's some footage of Jodie on you Tube. She went from 18 stone to 9 stone but was tiny and it was too small I think for her to naturally sustain.

i agree... she looks good now...

i think you can get hung up on a number and fixate on it....

when i started i said i wanted to be 12stone... CDC said Well it's still overweight, and i said it would be great for me...

but at 10.5lbs off that weight, i know i will still be bigger than i need to be... i'm gonna go half a stone at a time from there, and stop when i feel right... or i've had enough, whichever comes first... at the least i will be 10stone 5.5lbs which just sits on a BMI of 25, which is healthy... i can't see me needing to go any skinnier than that... but might stop before then...

then will come the difficult part, which is keeping it off! i'm under no illusions there!

I think Jodie looks amazing, I'm guessing she's a size 14 or 16 and looks fantastic.

I changed the 'but' to 'and' in my description of Jodie -on re-reading I thought it read more 'she's a larger size than is deemed normal in society but still looks great' rather than what I really meant 'she's a size 14 or 16 and I'd love to look like her!!!!!!'

wonder how snags got on, wonder what time her weigh in is?

    :)

She hasn't been yet - I think she said either 6pm or 7pm.

But I'm not holding out much hope for a decent loss - I weighed myself again when I went to the loo a bit since, and I have now somehow put on 5.5lbs since yesterday morning - excuse my language but !!!!!!??

Please please please let my scales me broken! :rotfl:

I do feel really bloated, as though I've eaten a massive meal though - weird.

I am hating the UK's biggest loser...anyone watching it as a first must be wondering why on earth I ever suggested watching it.....

BB - after eight weeks they go home and the one that Jodie was on they came back after 12 monthss at home and the one who had lost the most weight was crowned the biggest loser...After winning the show Jodie went round with Angie to promote healthy eating and exercise...

I 'think' they get more psychological counselling than what you see on the programme but then that doesn't really make good tv..

The Australian one is about three years old and has the american trainers in it who I love....

This may be true but you're also a slinky runner - unlike BB & I :D

Inky, I could NEVER be described as either slinky or a runner hun :rotfl:

Can I ask a personal question MAz, feel free to not answer the question if you don't want to publicly but have you been smaller at any point in your adult life...god I feel awful asking that question but the point I am trying to make is that I used to be 8 stone!!!!! and that was until I was 30 - so to get to 11 stone 5lbs was uncomfy for me. I would be happy at 9 stone but I am wavering at 9 stone 9 at the minute.......what I am trying to say is its individual

...I am quitting CD as of tomorrow and upping my running and am going to try healthy eating now that some bad habits have been broken.....

Chloe is making me do this in different colours btw!
