i'm watching it... but idon't like it as much as the us version.... but it'll do... and it'll be interesting to compare.. TBH US one is OTT at times, but you become immune to it, the uk one is less false.. but just has less about it in general. I watched a thing on the last uk biggest loser winner Jodie Prenger, (the woman who won nancy role in Oliver...) she got down to teeny tiny and is probably back up now to a nice curvy size 14... when she won it she was mini!! she looked great but it was obviously not a good size for her to maintain.....

someone be sure and tell me if i am getting too skinny! lol!!

started watching the aussie BL, not sure which series it is, last night on Sky real lives... should give me a fix! Sky+ing it so i can watch it in batches...

wonder how snags got on, wonder what time her weigh in is?

I decided to watch the first week of UK Biggest Loser on catch up over the weekend and had most of it on fast forward. I've watched a couple of episodes in the past of the American one but it was a long time ago.

I didn't think much to the programme - just lots of scenes of them exercising and re-telling of their background. After the 8 weeks, are they then supported to carry ontheir journey - it would be impossible for any of them to lose (and then sustain) large amounts of weight without a dedicated eating programme. I would doubt it knowing the way the tv industry works.

Also - do they see psychologists etc? To talk about why they put on the weight? Or is it just hours of exercise?

there's some footage of Jodie on you Tube. She went from 18 stone to 9 stone but was tiny and it was too small I think for her to naturally sustain.
