Does it look bad if card is maxed out?

so what will it say for over the mim payment then ???0

I would imagine that the fact that the card is "maxed out" would not itself affect your credit rating - creditors want you to max out your cards so you're paying them the most in interest repayments. What they don't want is for you to borrow money irresponsibly, exceeding your credit limit or finding yourself unable to pay the debt back.
So I believe (no hard evidence - sorry!) that being close to your credit limit won't in itself put a black mark against your name or make it harder to get credit, although the fact that your credit limit is being reduced suggests that Sainsbury's are less willing to lend you money and that might suggest that other lenders will also be less willing to give you credit.0 -
