    Another problem is they can just change the outer box, so Serial number is the same!
    You do not know if what is inside is also yours?

    Is there a way of finding that out because this is really sus?

    What do we do then??

    Did you give them the box when you dropped it off? TBH, I would only give them the bare console: No box, No HDD and not even my faceplate... thats all they need anyway...?!?!

    You can check the serial numbers one of 2 ways.
    1: Look it up at the back of the xbox (on a label with a barcode iirc).
    2: Switch it on, go to 'console settings', and there's an option to see 'console details' or something - the unit's serial number will be displayed on your screen.
    3: Be sure to 'register' your console on xbox.co.uk. Majour faults (such as red ring of death) are covered up to 3 years from point of purchase, and after that there is a 3 month warranty on all repairs.

    OP: I hope that helps you.

    My other worry is.

    The part that states;

    All work is carried out by skilled engineers who have 20 years of experience in the electronics / console industry.

    I thought I was delivering it to a shop, you must admit it looks genuine?

    It was a house?

    When I'd phoned to say I'd be there soon, he said he was stuck in Southport but to leave it with his wife!
