Soappie lol East is about right, wish she'd stay there tbh. DP didn't answer the phone when he was at home but I know she'd rang 3 times as the ringtone is different, she also got his brother to ring him to ask him to pick people up for her grrrrrr be much more peaceful on Wednesday when she clears off on holiday! Got to agree with you about Joanna Lumley, not my favourite before but well done her for doing what she is! Oh and ***little VTOL jet like thoughts*** hoping Plan B is off the ground soon!
g&b ((hugs)) we can sit in the corner all weak together :rotfl: silly comments aside hope you feel better soon, Benylin Original at night has been my saviour!
Dusty that's some 7pm, did they say give or take 2 hours? At least it's the weekend I suppose, but at least you have it now
JennyBee, well done, but do make sure you're spending plenty of time with little one, they are only little once!
Rach wow, that's what I call packing light! Hope you have a nice time
Denise I like this hoarder to order idea......I might have to see if I can get my paws on that book
Froddy, such a waste isn't it ((hugs)) for you and your friend, the rest of the family too
toots, however much I would love to see her suffer I can't put up with her long enough to pass on a cold.....that said her other son has been here most of today with me spluttering. Didn't keep me awake but DP didn't get to sleep until 4am because I was coughing, Benylin rocks :rotfl: Erm, a little point - I will remove your duster if you keep on overdoing itso ner!
Well I decided to meet myself in the middle, I didn't feel up to doing all the front garden work (and I can't start the petrol mower) so rather than pull the shed apart to get to the (electric) mower I got the strimmer out and did all the front garden edges, around the trees, paths etc. I took DS2 out there with me and he wandered up and down the path (he's ok with the noise of the strimmer) while DS1 was in the house so probably helped seperating them for a little while....this is in the hope that DP will start the petrol one for me tomorrow as now the fiddly stuff is done it will take about 5 minutes to just mow it. DP might even do it....miracles do sometimes happen. Oh, big GRRRR someone has allowed their dog to poo on my front lawn, GRRRR!! As a considerate dog owner who wouldn't dream of not cleaning up after my dog, it's peed me off sooooo much! I can even guess who it was but can't prove it. Oh and I packed a bit more caravan stuff too, I never want to buy a new caravan again - way too much to sort out.
I'm actually really hungry today, been off my food for a few days but congestion seems to be better tonight so that is maybe why, I REALLY fancy kaz's bacon and peas risotto but don't know if I have any peas.....or if I can be bothered to make itOne day I might be more organised...........

Meant to say - soappie I have to agree about Joanna Lumley - she is trying really hard to make a difference.
Jo dont you worry angel - we will be with you on Monday and you will be fine - if he has any decency in him he will make it easy for you - if not it will be the industrial staplers at ten paces!!!!
I had a nice afternoon with NOF putting the world right and having a laugh with her hubby - he's 83 and likes a bit of banter!
I have managed to eat better today - bless my NOF she had made me a strawberry jelly and mashed strawberries as a treat! I am eating soft food now so thats a step forward.

Congratulations Vanilla! You and Quillion will have to be on light duties (which currently includes making sure that Toots sticks to her light duties too!)
Pigpen - hope the assignments are going well. We're all behaving without you, honestly
Abbie - hugs & prayers for you and your family
lil_me - hope you survive the WIL's visit. Maybe you should just announce that your cold has got worse and retire to your bedroom until Wednesday!
Jo - I can come up with more good things about being single, but I believe Valli has the definitive list
I had a lovely afternoon with my friend. It was her baby's first full day at nursery (so we had a very tired and grumpty baby to deal with at bedtime!). I'm not sure how she's going to manage commuting from rural oxfordshire to London - the nursery opens at 8am, so she should just be able to get to the office for 10am, then will have to leave by 4pm at the latest to get back before the nursery closes! And then will have to get the baby to bed and somehow walk the dog (which was OK tonight as I was there, but she won't be able to do it when she's on here own). She's only working two days a week (one from home), but with childcare & commuting costs she just about breaks even, so it's not worth her doing more - she just needs to do enough to make sure that she can pick up her career later on.
I have to say, I don't know how those of you who have children and work manage it. I can just about look after myself and work... the idea of looking after another person is just too much!0 -
hi all
was late getting in from work tonight but everything had pretty much been done;
kitchen s&s'd
dw on
td on
living room s&s'd.
my (our) jobs for the weekend:
dust the living room and porch
wash all the downstairs floors
hoover the stairs
shredding (it seems i'm the only one who knows whats ok to shred).
then from monday we'll be back to following the daily lists.
congratulations vanilla but isn't monday a little bit soon to be starting flying but your feet up and enjoy your first few days with little rhys.

gtx got the pm and have answered as best I can for now. I hope you are managing with your back and cracking the whip with the troops! What about printing of a whole weeks lists - and they could stick to doing the same rooms on the same days every week until you are on your feet - it might be easier for them to have a set routine to work to? Or would they get too complacent that way - there I go again not engaging my brain before I type!!!

Morning :hello:
Woke up just before 5 this morning, feeling really sick. Got up and had a cup of tea and a piece of toast, and I'm feeling loads better now.Abbie - re the dry shampoo thing - why do you use it? Washing hair strips away the natural oils. Putting dry stuff through on the days you don't wash strips even more out. I'm a 'wash my hair every other day' type of girl. If it's sticky up on the days I don't wash, then I just run a damp brush through it to get it into some sort of shape.
You're doing well with the flying. But don't do too much. You're doing the most important job in the world - growing a new person..... listen to your body and rest when you need. xx
Morning soappie. Thank you. You are totally right about listening to your body. I find it really really hard to leave things and just rest. I always feel like I should be getting on with things, and I can always find jobs that need doing. Everyone teases me about it, but it is something I should really work on, especially through the pregnancy.
About the dry shampoo - like you I wash my hair every other day and have tried using the dry shampoo on the day in between (if my hair is a bit oily at the roots). It does work, but it just leaves this horrible dry residue on my hair and all over our bedroom. I suppose its like puting talcum powder through your hair! Anyway it is going in the bin. Just as you said, it can't be good for my hair!
Hope you all have a lovely Saturday. Will catch up later, after Mum and Dad have been. Take care xxx
PS. Thanks again for all your hugs, thoughts and prayers. You are all so very kind and supportive xxx:smileyheaFlybaby Due 1st December 2009!:smileyhea0 -
morning :hello:
i've just caught up on the last few pages.
nothing to report from us here really.
i have no idea which parts of the list i've accomplished but the whole house is tidy and clean :T
great news Vanilla!!!!! congrats on your new baby and welcome rhys!!!! :j
Quillion good to see you back already!! glad it all went well and you just take it easy for a while. great that you've got such great support at home - additionally to us of course
soappie what a great success story!! well done and seeing it all through. and re sueing for taking the pictures: those parents should rather be glad their kids got into the open so they can deal with it now! unless they of course don't bother with their kids in the first place
we'll have yet another viewing at 4.30 today  - so i have to try and keep the house nice and tidy till then0 -
Morning everyone.
Abbie - if you can't just sit and do nothing, how about taking up knitting for the babe (you may already do this, I don't know) and sit down with that. Then you will be doing something!
Bedding is about to go into the washing machine. I'm about to go into the bath then I'll do some flying.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
