How do you put the bluetooth dongle inside?
I bought one of these when the offers were on at asda. it was for this model, stated 80gb hard drive but when arrived it was 120gb, loads and loads of people have also confirmed this. I have upgraded the RAM to 1.5gb and was fairly easy, with loads of tutorials online and youtube. I also have installed bluetooth dongle inside and use it in the car for satnav and also for mobile internet with my nokia phone as a modem. Great buy these.
Mine came with linux on it which is good for usual browsers etc, tried Mac OS on it, but i couldnt get it to run stable so i installed Windows XP on it. might even dabble with windows 7 next month when it comes out on trial.

Just insert the bluetooth dongle into the USB port. Very simple and takes just about a second to insert.
Do you make things happen, watch things happen, or just wonder, what happened?

You can also buy refurbished netbooks from acer website http://www.acerdirect.co.uk/box_opened_laptops/prod.asp

That is not an ACER website. It's an independent company.

the acer aspire works just fine with 1/2 gig of ram, i know people have mentioned upgrading the ram to 1 gig or more, but it runs XP just fine as standard and doesnt need the upgrade

Are you running a "full" XP installation, or something custom such as TinyXP instead?

The poster said he put it inside which sounds a bit different to just plugging in a USB dongle!

XP runs fine with 512MB of RAM and has for the last 4 years on my Dell Desktop. If you don't expect it to do much more that word processing or browsing the net it is fine. Most netbooks will not be doing more than that.
XP was originally designed to run with a minimun of 128MB.
