I ordered mine on Sunday evening at 9.30pm. Have had the 'subject to availability' email and one confirming that they are 'starting to process the order' but nothing since. Maybe we should call to check - it can't be that much of a misprice because Tescos were selling these with 1GB RAM for £129 last week and those were non-refurbished ones.
When did you get the 2nd email? I ordered a few hours after you ordered but haven't received that email.
Tesco was a better deal but this deal only came about after most of the Tesco stock was gone.0 -
They have brand new Acer Aspire one A110AB on the pcworld site at £135, but collection only. However, no matter what store i put in, can't find any stock anywhere, maybe someone else will have more luck..
just tried all of my friends all over the uk.... NONE :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I got the second email almost straight after the first one (9.30pm on Sunday)Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares? He's a mile away and you've got his shoes.0 -
oh aye if you want to put XP on instead of linux and you have a spare cd/dvd of xp you'll need an external dvd drive or an XBOX360 HD Dvd Drive - there are alternatives such as TinyXP already mentioned here, the forum above is an excellent resource
Hiya, so I can install XP onto it using the xbox 360 hd dvd drive? I'm so non techie! Do you know how to do it? cheers

thats exactly what I used, plug the hd drive into the usb socket on the aao, assuming you have a disc with xp on it, all you have to do when you boot up is change the boot order in the bios so it looks to the hd drive before booting linux, then its generally a matter of following the on screen stuff (the hd drive is seen as a dvd drive)
sorry to point out the obvious but as you said you weren't techie, the xbox hd drive is an add on drive for the xbox its not the one that comes with the 360
when you boot up it will say something like f2 to enter setup that takes you to the bios
before you do any of this go to the acer site and download all the xp drivers for the machine and keep them on a usb key and also the acer launcher - I didn't instal the webcam drivers I used the standard xp ones, works fine with skype etc
I would higly recommend you go to www.aspireoneuser.com/forum and check out the xp info thereNorn Iron Club Member #64

Received mine this morning

Came in a plain box, just the Netbook, battery and charger. No manuals, DVD's or covers. HDD is 120GB, not 80GB so happy with that!0 -

I think the recovery disc can be downloaded, possibly off Acer's site, if you really want one, you can get a cover for about £5 on deal extreme and congrats on the hard drive, BONUS!
oh yeah I think the only thing the manual said to do was run live update manager when you boot up in Linux
enjoy!Norn Iron Club Member #64
