We have just changed car and although it looks great the alloys need cleaning.

Can someone recommend a product that is not too expensive that can easily get these clean please?

Ta.

Depending on how much you were looking to spend Meguiars Products come highly reccomended.

Try asking on detailingworld.co.uk also :) (or searching there for previous answers to similar questions). If they're that bad, IMO best way is to get them refurbed by being powdercoated. Then a good clean and wax regularly with wheel wax should keep the brake dust off.

any alloy wheel cleaner would work, if they are bad then one that contains acid would be best, wear gloves and use a paint brush or something to aggitate it then rinse it off.

dont use the acid stuff all the time, it will dull down the wheels, use turtle wax alloy wheel cleaner (it comes in a green spray bottle) as a regular cleaning product. i think halfords stock this.

Thanks folks, I shall give soap and water a try first tomorrow.

They have 3 for 2 products at Halfords and the Maguires is included so I may buy that and some Mer stuff and back to black too.
