Beefcarrot and Baldur - yes you're both right - I have just tested Firefox and the Google toolbar works just fine - thanks for your feedback on this.
Incidentally, I checked the Processes list within Task Manager, and I noticed that Firefox requires more memory than IE and Opera, and Chrome is way down the list. I have always been led to believe that IE is 'inefficient bloatware' and Firefox is lean and quick. Is this correct?0 -
You can't necessarily measure how efficient a program is by how much RAM it uses.
However, I do think Firefox has been getting slower over the past few releases. It might have been lean and quick once, but I don't think it is any more.0 -

Certainly more crashes in the last couple of months, even 3.0.10 on a brand new install.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Hi my name’s Feran and I’m working with the Internet Explorer Outreach Team to help provide assistance to folks about their Internet Explorer.
For steveo or anyone else wondering whether to upgrade to IE8, here are some really helpful resources to check out - the Microsoft website: wwwdotmicrosoftodtcom/windows/internet-explorer/defaultdotaspx?ocid=ie8_sm_a or IEBlog: blogsdotmsdndotcom/ie/ (replace the "dot" with a period "."). If you do decide to get it, you can download it from the first link as well.
Hey poorly scammo,
If you are having rendering/viewing issues in IE8 try the Compatibility View feature. It is a broken page icon located next to the refresh button on the toolbar. Clicking the icon may help resolve your issues.
Hope this helps you out!

Personally, I wouldn't convert any addresses given to get to a site - navigate your way through (it's safer).0

We bought a new PC a couple of months ago and it came with IE loaded, so not sure which version (can you tell I'm not a true techie?' I downloaded Firefox but it kept 'jamming' and I had to reboot every time. I tried IE8 and that too jammed up after visiting a few sites, so I took it off the PC. Now the IE that was originally installed is jamming up too. The PC has vista installed, any ideas to help would be appreciated.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams
