I recommend the ABM strategy:
Anything But Microsoft.
Start by moving to Firefox (or Safari or Opera). Then OpenOffice for Word/Excel etc.. Then after a few months try Linux (Ubuntu is popular). After 12-18 months hey presto almost none of that pesky software that keeps going wrong and so many other people want to hack...

I love the way IE8 colours the different tabs
I've been using it for 2 days, crashed 3 times for no reason so far, the tabs recovered themselves though, but yeah it's fast.0 -
I'm currently having problems with IE8 and google images. They're taking forever to download and I'm getting red crosses.

If you have 7 then upgrade to 8 as its better.
Personally though I would use Safari or Firefox0 -
IE 8 runs much faster than IE7. I personally use Firefox, but IE great as a backup browser.Graduated this year.

had a look at those this afternoon
dont get on with chrome..safari looks rather tasty , but i really like my pinned bookmarks down the side on i.e , dont like the extra step involved on safari as i like to hop webistes alot0 -
It's alot faster than IE7, but as others have said, Firefox and other browsers are better.0
