I use Firefox with the Google Toolbar - no problems at all.

All versions of Firefox from 2 onwards support the Google Toolbar - http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/toolbar/FT3/intl/en/.
    System requirements:
    • Windows XP/2000 SP3+, Mac OS X 10.2+, or Linux
    • Firefox 2.0+
    • Internet Explorer version available here

    I recommend the ABM strategy:

    Anything But Microsoft.

Start by moving to Firefox (or Safari or Opera). Then OpenOffice for Word/Excel etc.. Then after a few months try Linux (Ubuntu is popular). After 12-18 months hey presto almost none of that pesky software that keeps going wrong and so many other people want to hack...

Oh, OK, have it your way.

    Cheers!

I love the way IE8 colours the different tabs

I've been using it for 2 days, crashed 3 times for no reason so far, the tabs recovered themselves though, but yeah it's fast.

I'm currently having problems with IE8 and google images. They're taking forever to download and I'm getting red crosses.

Is this a google issue or an IE8 issue?

  • If you have 7 then upgrade to 8 as its better.

Personally though I would use Safari or Firefox

IE 8 runs much faster than IE7. I personally use Firefox, but IE great as a backup browser.

It's alot faster than IE7, but as others have said, Firefox and other browsers are better.
