Using Comtrend Power adapters taken from BT Vision

Hi everyone
Needing some advice
Was given these "home plugs" to help get rid if a dangerous telephone extension cable running from the hall way to our office. (Always have been fearful of elderly relatives tripping on the cable when visiting so it was always covered with mats).
These two powerline adapters were thought to be a solution
I did download instructions but there is something lacking in them cause mine are from a BT VISION package.
I get so far but the internet connection doesn't happen.
I think I have to do something to allow one to "talk to each other" but what?

I am fearful of pressing the wrong buttons and losing/damaging my BT total broad band package (BT home hub 2.0).

As I am a lady of a "certain age" I would appreciate the help in the simplest form..........smiles.

Kind regards
Clare

Found this article on the BT site, it might help you.

BTW You do realise they are for extending the ethernet connection from your router to your PC, and not from telephone socket to your router.

Thank you Penrhyn for your quick reply.

I think I was having a senior moment....I discovered I hadn't the telephone line connected to the router!
Apart from that ......all is working great.
All I had to do was plug in the powerline adapters as instructed...
There was no resetting needed or configure or anything of that sort.
I guess the adapters were pre configured as they were part of the BT vision package.
I think they are a great idea!

    Kind regards

Tell me about it, I put sesame seeds in my coffee the other day instead of granulated sugar, thought it was a bit chewy!!
