well every one elses laptop works on the wireless and it has been taken to work where it still wont work.

So you can connect MSN messenger - yes?
So that means it is connected to the internet - yes?

Have you tried plugging it into the router rather than using it wirelessly?

What OS are you using?

I have not tried plugging straight into the router no will try that next. we are with AOL. yes it will connect to face book so it is connecting online but the internet server thingy wont load any webpages not even thrugh msn messenger. I have delted internet explorer and put back on and it made no difference, even tried getting it from another laptop onto mine again still made no changes.

Only thing my mom suggested was getting back up discs but these are pricey so are my last option!

If you uninstalled internet explorer how did you manage to put it back on again??

Maybe your "connection" settings in IE have been altered.

Click on Tools (on IE) and Internet options and see what it says there

Goto FILE and make sure 'work offline' isnt ticked

Putting that text into google throws up a shedload of results the first being from MS support -

You'd probably do better following the MS debugging advice than asking for guesses here.
