Problems with Nokia 6280 on 3!
Has anyone else on this forum experienced problems with the nokia 6280. Mine keeps resetting and the battery life is awful(have to charge it every day). I was just on the nokia forum and loads of people have experienced the same problem. Should I wait for the firmware upgrade or take the phone back. Has anyone else had a problem and if so what have you done about it.
Thanks in advance :T

hi maniac, i have had the 6280 for two months now and i have not had a problem with it. the battery does run down quite a bit but i used the radio and the mp3 player on it alot.
cheers0 -
The screen black out (soft reset?) is a common problem with the 6280. I am on my 2nd but it still does it, VERY ANNOYING!!!
Apparently there is no firmware update to fix the problem yet which is bad from Nokia!!
Battery life - what do you expect from a phone with a colour screen that big, camera with flash, radio, MP3 etc etc! I got myself a car charger for mine, every time I get in the car I plug it in and have never had a problem - don't even have to use up the electricity at home anymore either, now THATS money saving!

I seem to remember that there was another problem with the phone about the battery meter displaying half full even when fully charged - maybe this could be your problem!
I know on my phone, it does sometimes give the low batter message and then continue to work for another 8 hours or so!!0 -
Lol..I purchased it on ebay for £180 so I have sent it back and the seller is giving me a new one. I really do love this phone and hope nokia release firmware soon as it is extremely buggy!"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

Just got a reply from Nokia about the reset problem.
Nokia are blaming 3 for messing with the software with the phone so have got to e-mail them!!!

apart from the battery life what is the phone like? is there any good site out there to d/l apps?Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
I got one on a 3 upgrade last month. First charged up the phone, then the moment I switched it on, I realise something funny with the screen..... ah! it's not positioned correctly! slightly 'tilted' to the left so the borders along the top and the sides are not aligned.
Returned the phone to 3 and cancelled the upgrade offer.0 -
In my opinion the phone is brilliant and is definately the best available on the three network. However it is very buggy, although nokia have been working with three for the last few months and there is a rumour out that a firmware update will be out within the next few weeks, thank god!
Here is the place on the nokia forums explaining the problems Click Here
There seems to be hundreds of people who are experiencing problems but most are willing to wait for the firmware update, just like me!"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

I have had two Nokia 6280's and sent them both back, 1st phone just kept dying on me (within 2 days) and the second arrived with cracked screen. nice phone but unreliable.
Just wondering whether to wait for N80 which is supposed to be pretty good0
