techy phobe here....freeview from sky,, viewing probs

hi all

right im a real technophobe so please be gentle and treat me as the fool i am hehehe


i have sky+ in the lounge and have had the sky box (multiroom) in bedroom turned off as bearly watch it....however on the one channel that we (me and daughter aged 5) do watch every night (tinypop or tiny pop +1) its continually getting scrambled and sticking on a frozen picture but sound carrying on.

my question is...what can i do??? if nowt should i consider a magic eye??? from downstair to upstasirs?

    If your getting it OK downstairs then its likely to be a box problem.

    However if you also get the problem on the downstairs box I would suggest its a dish allignment problem as that channel broadcasts from a different satellite (Hotbird 1) to what your dish points to (Astra). A properly alligned dish picks up both no problem. Do you have problems on other channels? Some of the ones to check may be Clubland TV, DMAX, Bravo 2, Movies 24 and Bloomberg.
