Just an update to sat Paul went on Friday and all that happened was the dentist changed his mind about doing the second root canal and pulled the tooth out instead so that wasn't sore and Paul is chuffed in a weird way. The dentist also said the pain he was feeling was absolutely normal and said the first 3 days are the worst and not to worry about it, so thats great too, he's getting a crown for it in 2 wks. Its only now he feels 'safe' eating on that side.

He came home on friday with a fat lip (2 cuts) as the tooth was hard to come out, still preffered that to the root canal haha!! The dentist said it was a wisdom tooth and difficult to remove but absolutely NO pain after and eating wasn't a problem what so ever!!:T

oh and the dentist asked what pain killers he was taking and when he said co dydramol (at one point) the dentist said he would not prescribe them (paul didn't even ask) as they are too strong??? And he said he's known people to mash them down and mix with another drug to get a massive 'hit':rotfl:And no Paul isn't a druggie!:D The weird thing is the dentist told paul exactly the drug they use, what they call it and the knickname:rotfl:You learn something new every day!!:o

I refer the honorable moneysaver to the answer I gave some time ago (post 10) :D
    I never prescribe em either
As for extracting the wisdom tooth instead of root treating it. Well I would too. Wisdom teeth can be very odd internally (loads of fine twisty canals) and I would want a very good reason to try and work in one of them. Like it being the only tooth left for example:rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl:he was ok he has a full set of teeth so could afford to lose it!!!:D

He said at the top of the tooth there was 3 roots going the 'normal' direction and one going side ways instead of up????? Thats why the dentist had a wee bit of a job getting it out.

anyway alls well at the end of the day...;)
