SKYPE - Worldwide Access
I travel around quite a bit, Thailand, Malaysia, Romania, and Greece are the main countries I visit. I also stay in my house in UK where I have a Talk Talk landline.
When abroad the problem was that often had to dial UK Utilities, Banks, and Credit Cards with 08XX numbers. Despite what anyone says these were largely unobtainable from most of these countries.
As I have internet access in all these countries, I eventually discovered SKYPE  so now I can have a monthly Worldwide Package to call any landline for under 10 pounds per months along with their free PC to PC service.
At an extra cost they also provide a UK based telephone number for me for people in UK to ring. I thought NOW I AM IN HEAVEN :Auntil I find out that there could be better and cheaper services.
Please tell me --- ARE THERE?:j

skype is probably the most expensive VoIP provider there is - they obviously have the advantage of being the most famous and used one, and this possibly explains why they are so much more expensive than their competitors. As far as I know you can't use another provider to call your friends for free if they have skype. If friends and family use skype, keep skype on to call them, but have a look around for other providers if you are looking at calling landlines. There are plenty out there and I suggest having a google to see which one would suit your needs best.

Actually there are some providers which have free calls to Skype users, but other than that I agsee with the above comments.0
