Advice please. I ordered a Dyson Vac from Littlewoods direct using new cusomer discount code . ( I am a new customer !). I paid by credit card. Debit was made on card on 1/5 & Vac delivered about 10 mins ago. I notice reading back through thread that electrical goods are excluded from discount in t & cs, although I don,t remember seeing that at time of order. Is my contract complete and can I use my Vac without fear that Littlewoods will debit my credit card for the 30% ???wins so far:- absolutely nothing, not even an arguement:mad:0

Printed off Order summary from e Mail shows amount after 30% saving of £165. The advice note attached to delivered Dyson says total value of £165 which matches the discounted price .It doesn't give a break down on advice note. I'd rather not alert Littlewoods to something which may be nothing IYSWIM!.I may not have thanked you but I meant to, honest!0

I would be EXTREMELY wary about ordering from Littlewoods Direct using any of these codes. Their IT systems don't work properly - the website allows customers to use codes which they're not entitled to, and often doesn't allow you to use codes you are entitled to. It's a mess.
Then the customer service staff go through orders afterwards and send you emails saying 'You weren't entitled to that really even though the system allowed it', and take the money back. They've told me on the phone that they do that.
Even if you speak to somebody from customer services and they say a code is valid, you can then speak to somebody else who will tell you something completely different days later.
I just ordered a Nintendo Wii from them and they have contradicted themselves numerous times about what one discount code means and I have a number of emails now that I'm just thinking of sending to Trading Standards, because I feel I placed the order under false pretences after their staff told me I was entitled to use a code which they have now changed their minds about.
Meanwhile, I have a Nintendo Wii console sitting in a depot after they told me they can't change an address on an order after it's been placed without cancelling the order, they can't cancel an order so they put it on 'hold and return' and I can't place a new order whilst the order they can't cancel is still on hold. Their procedures are a mess.
They have now placed FOUR orders for me so I can get ONE console, and I still haven't had it!
I'm cancelling my account tomorrow and and am buying it from Amazon - as least I know I'll get it when promised, and I know the price I'll end up paying!
If you want my advice, steer clear - it's not worth the hassle.0 -

Hi,
I'm thinking of using a 15% voucher code XX338 when buying a tv from littlewoods direct. I'm a bit put off after reading that littlewoods sometimes charge you what has already been discounted when they find the code wasn't for you etc. Has anyone had this done to them and when to they do it?
To me it's not a big problem if they inform me before I recieve the item as surely you can post it straight back FOC and get a refund. However, if they take your money from you a couple of weeks after recieving the item what do you do?! You've opened/used it so probably won't be eligable for a refund unless you say somethings wrong with it.
If someone can clear up when they actually correct the discounting I'd feel a lot happier goign ahead with it.
Thanks

Hi Chris
I can only go by my experience with the Littlewoods group and others from old threads that I have seen.
Re the chargeback unfortunately this has been known to be anything up to about a month after the item being delivered - it was approx 3 week's for me.
It it a bit of a risk really but I would say only use a code if you are prepared to be charged full price if the code wasn't issued to you - bit of a gamble0
