yes it is true you have been scammed. go to the card company you paid with and to the ministry of justice. dont worry about the reason you are claiming a refund, the card companies are very aware of this, you will not be penalised. first debt elimination and parklane services international are one. you will get the info need about the ministry of justice by following the thread from their website. keep phoning them on the free phone num on thier web, this costs them.

me too, i paid first debt elimination £995 in may to wipe off balances on 5 of my credit cards to a lady called rachel. you are right, they are now parklane services. they have done absolutely nothing to eliminate any of my debts in fact its cost me more to keep sending their letters and phone calls. im now seriously struggling with my payments. i took the advice of this site and phoned the ministry of justice. they are currently investigating this company & if you google deep enough by adding international (which is the one on my credit card statement), they have had alot of bad press. i am pleased to say with the fantasic help of the ministry of justice i will be getting a full refund. phone them and dont accept anything less.

I finally got my fefund in december, it should be a time of celebration but the refund didnt include all the high interest i have paid to date. any one thinking of getting their money back do it today. PARKLANE SERVICES & FIRST DEBT ELIMINATION will not wipe any debts, read the news out there. success is isolated. if you think your card company is breaking the rules challenge them yourself. how they can take money from innocent people only that type of person would be able to answer. hopefully i wont need this site again, but who knows as im terribly nosy. bye
  • I too have been duped by this bunch of villains. I paid two lots of £562 last June and have got absolutely no where with them. They never reply to e-mails or phone you back. A useless girl called Katie who is supposed to be my case file manager is rude and is clearly lying through her teeth whenever I get through to her. I too contacted the Ministry of Justice yesterday who are aware of this company. They were very helpful and with my agreement have passed my details on to Suffolk trading standards who are investigating them. I was told that they are actually operating out of Spain!! The agreement that I made with them was originally with First Debt Elimination - then they mysteriously changed their name to Park Lane Services. I cannot believe that I have been so foolish and it makes me mad to the point of rage. I hope that my credit card company will refund my money for me. If I could just get my hands on them!!!!!

    Hi All,

Has anyone had any dealings with a firm called firstdebtelimination.com ?

There are a few around at the moment claiming that they can exploit loopholes in credit card agreements that were signed prior to 1st April 2007. They claim that they may be able to get the balance written off !

I've heard another company advertising on Talk Sport radio for the same thing.

They charge a fee which is said to be refundable if you are not successful.

Has anyone successfully done something like this or in the process of trying?
i to have had this and tried to call them today only to be told that they had ceased trading, i paid over £1000 to them, even before i submitted to them i done some research and they were on the goverment site as affiliated by the goverment.
i have spoken to the ministry of justice and they have advised to call my bank as i paid by one of the credit cards i was trying to eliminate

I have been with First debt elimination, now park lane services for over 13 months, paid out over £900, got promised the Earth, spoke origionally to a girl called Ruth, then Katie, who remarkably sounded the same, and now get a Louise on the switchboard who sounds like them too, I have phoned several numbers including a spanish number, and they all go through to the same line. Got told today they are no longer trading, annd am so angry they have cost me about £2500 in interest charges as I was going to switch to a 0% for 14 months just before I dealt with them. Any advice on what I can do to recover any losses at all would be very much appreciated!!!!
  • They have been going since Oct/November 2008. No one has been sucessfull and they dont give refunds unless you scream and go via Ministry of Justice who they are being investigated by. You will be assigned a case manager and she sits on the right of the reception/switchboard and wont take calls(in a meeting,on phone, busy e.t.c). They are based in Alhaurin and Fuengirola Spain. All town numbers listed are fake and go to the same switchboard. test 0034952197094 and all listed numbers will arrive at same switchboard. They cold call which breaks the code to start with and missell. Linked to Escort site scams and timeshare and ppi scams. Main office is in Fuengirola and anyone that has been there will find the office on the left on the way to the market in Los Boliches. What was known as Telephone Tinas. Operation legally listed in Spain as Investment Marketing S.L More details and names available on request.

    Hi

We have just found out, via this website, that we too have been scammed by Park Lane Services, we paid out £1700 last April and nothing has been done to help us. We are being taken to Court by some of our Creditors as we were told by Park Lane Services not to pay them. What do we do now? Any help/advise? Thanks
  • Thanks to this site I've just found out I've been scammed too. Signed up with Park Lane Services in January this year and has cost me about £1200 in total. Luckily we have still been paying our cards as we hadn't gone "into dispute" yet and I did actually research the company (obviously not enough though) and they seemed legit, more fool me!!!! Will contact both my credit card on which I paid plus the Ministry of Justice asap, how quickly do you get a response??

park lane services are now calling themselves cancel credit see cancelcredit.net. Still using IMM2001 SL as the umbrella company and operating out of fuengirola spain. IMM2001 SL is a legitimate spainish company need to check the directors for more info, some of you will remember this name from your payment slips. IMM2001's telephone number is (0034) 952197094, they are based near the feria ground in the old telephone tina's shop. Nat West are being pretty helpful in getting my money back, if i find out any more will post.

Park Lane Services has popped up again, this time running a PPI recovery scam, but the spiel's much the same. A cold call from 08452 863822 opens with a recording of a nicely spoken woman inviting you to press 5 (which I'd bet is routed to Fuengirola) to claim back "thousands" of PPI, or 9 to "unsubscribe" (from what, I wonder?).

I guess they've moved on from the timeshare sales, bogus escort agencies and "debt-wiping" scams exposed by Operation Troy in 2010. PLS also operates as Purple Pig, with an Oxford phone No (to Fuengirola again?) and a Sunderland address, though that's probably just a mail drop to pretend they're in the UK (unless someone here knows better...).

I doubt the TPS can do anything about foreign-originated calls masquerading as UK Nos.
