one stop phone shop/CPW vodafone and "passport"

I have just changed networks to vodafone to use the "passport" offer - call from abroad using your inclusive minutes with a 75p flat charge.

My account ws activated today and i phoned to activate "passport" to be told it wasn't available since I was not on an vodafone contract, but a "carphonewarehouse vodafone" contract.

I believe I was misold this contract by the telephone agent who did not explain the difference in contracts.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I thought I was signing upto O2, but infact it was a 'Carphone Warehouse' cintract.

That was last month and I didnt realise the difference until I phone Cust Services - not O2, but CPW.

I now wonder whether or not their 1000 off peak mins are identical to the 'proper' O2 tariffs.

Confused-and a bit angry.

There should be no difference, normally there is no difference, unfortunatly passport is one of them, although they do plan on getting it added.

ID90, mention when signing up that you wanted that service?

id90 ... snap !! ... i moved to voda via osps last aug...... and often have weekends away

Contacted cpw then and they said "we'll get passport next month" .. said it ever since .

Went away last weekend and phoned them in advance .. same answer ... but they did announce they had a special offer in lieu.... instead of about 80p a minute they'd only charge about 60p a minute !!

I've written to "working lunch" as they often do stories on mobiles .. had acknowledgement but heard no more .

My view on this .... it's outrageous .. and no way do i accept that bossman charles dunstone of cpw ..can let voda get away with having a piece of deal that is not available to them . Just can't believe it.
