Morning all,
Went to bed at 9.30 last night, and got up at 7.30 whan OH went out to a bootie, I feel much better for it, just got a slight sicky headache left. Thanks for all the good wishes.
Off walking today, which should clear my head, its beautiful here, need to water my seedling baby's before I go out, they are doing very well, my conservatory has been taken over by them :rotfl:
My OH's sister had her baby yesterday, poor girl has been in hospital for a month, she had to have the baby within 20 mins of her contractions starting, due to some complication, so she has been waiting and waiting, anyway she finally had a little boy by c section yesterday :T. I am going to send her up some chocolates, she is not a flower sort of girl.
One load is in the wm, and OH work jeans to go in next, will hang them out today, house is in quite good order, apart from dd's bedroom . So just a quick tidy needed. BBQ for tea, sausages and burgers with buns and salad.
I need to buy some asparagus today for our picnic at my sisters new house tomorrow, and some new pots.
OK have moilered on today
Hugs where needed, have good days all xx0 -
Good morning everyone  Sun is shinig here, and DH has taken the youngsters swimming, so I'm sat with a coffee
I've been up since 5:30, but a benefit of getting older (especially when the sun is shining
) is that I don't need so much sleep - 7 hours is fine :T
Old Style for today:- Flylady jobs
- ironing - done
- washing - done and hanging on the line
- been to the butchers - got a pork pie straight from the oven
- make bread
- make supper
- meal plan and online shop
- weeding, planting in the garden
- mow the lawn
- if it stays fine we'll go for a family bike ride - 20miles sounds good for today :T
Hugs to everyone, and enjoy your BH weekend :j

Nope, flatlands round hereI crave hills, so we often go to the peaks, but it's only DS who takes his bike - the rest of us our walking boots
Christabell, the porkpie is sat in my kitchen sending out "eat me" messages in its aromas. I don't want to chill it as it's better warmishThey only make family sized ones at weekends, and they're usually all gone by 9am, which shows how good they are.

Morning everyone :hello:
Despite the chance of a lie in I was up at 8am again. The girlies are away for the weekend and OH is still snoring so apart from the din of the birds in the garden, all is quiet. There is beautiful sunshine here but it's interspersed with heavy showers. I hope they don't last all day. It's very blowy so if the showers go I can get some washing on the line.
OH and I are collecting our new shed today and hopefully getting it built. We managed to get it from Homebase on 10% off day. :money: :jWe need to clear out the old one and do a few runs to the dump. I also have loads of summer flowering seeds to plant up and a few more peas and beans to sow now that the others are well on their way.
OH found a dozen tadpoles survivng in just 2 inches of water yesterday by the side of a road so brought them home and they are in the new pond. I didn't want to take them from the wild but I think these will stand a better chance of survival in our pond. Our other frogs in the other pond are too young to breed yet so we haven't had tadpoles for a while.
We also have a very fat fledgling blackbird sitting in the garden being hand (beak) fed by both his parents. Somehow he has survived the neighbourhood cats. We have had at least one baby bird out of the nest evry year for 7 years and the adult blackbirds keep feeding them which is great.
After our hard work in the garden, we are treating ourselves to dinner at a seafood restaurant on the pier tonight followed by a few drinks in the pub.
Need to go and tidy the kitchen and mop the floor then wake OH and start the day properly.
Hope you fel better soon Taplady and RedRuby. x
Hope your FIL is ok DD&D and your dad Sunnygirl. xx
Take care everyone

Morning everyone!
Sunshine is a leeeeetle bit hit and miss at the mo. Looks like a coolish breeze so might not be as summery as I'd really like. Found the temperature really hot last night though - woke up sweating buckets and had to kick my legs out from under the duvet. Don't really like doing that as it tends to cause cramp in my calf muscles which is pretty painful but escaped last night thank goodness!
Anyway been up since 6am with the kids and have been looking over my receipe books as am getting bit bored with my meal plans (have a 6 week rotation as I can't be bothered to do it each week) but have been looking for some inspiration. Found some receipes to try although my H is fussy won't eat anything with cheese, cream, creme fraiche etc which can be a bit limiting but I will try and work round it!
House cleaning pretty much up to date, washing nearly all done it's just the ironing
Got to go to the supermarket for weekly shop - just been working out my costs on mysupermarket.com - I LOVE that website. It's just sooooooo handy!
Rest of bank holiday will hopefully be spent tidying up the garden and enjoying time outside with the kids and H (who's still in bed having stayed up til 2pm last night watching film 4).
Have a great weekend all!I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning all,
redruby, I hope your head clears soon. Congratulations on the new baby!
Penny Pincher, enjoy your day out.
Pen Pen, that pie sounds fabulous. 20 mile cycle ride? _pale_
taplady, I hope you're feeling better this morning.
D&DD was really touched by everyone who sent good wishes for her FIL and she asked me to pass on her thanks as she won't be able to post today. They arrived safely and her FIL is in hospital and has been made comfortable for now.
It's a glorious sunny day here this morning. Doesn't sunshine make you feel good. :j Ds1 and his friend are off out to a youth club lunch today so I don't need to worry about feeding them. I'm thinking of going to the garden centre in a while but trying to talk myself out of it because I know I'll only spend money on more plants that I don't need.I want to spend the day in the garden but ds2 wants me to take him fishing, so I'll try to see if I can fit both in. Barbeque for tea if the weather holds out.
Have a good day everyone.
