They are inside on a south facing windowsill. The biggest plant (about a foot high) is starting to flower. Will I nip it off to make it grow higher?

No, it'll carry on growing anyway. Nip off the top when 4 sets/branches of flowers are showing.

Not sure what you are trying to achieve, or where you lice, but when first flowers show is time to plant them out, however your's are very early so not outside just yet

    Mortgage-free Glee!
I suspect they may drop off on their own if they are too early.

That's good. I dare say the tomatoes have more sense than I do... They aren't going outside Farway, its too high and too windy and they'd just get wrecked. I grew loads inside last year, but bought them as plants....these ones I planted as seeds jsut to see what happened. :)

I have one lot of toms in the green house and one lot on the patio hardening off. The ones on the patio are doing better than the ones in the green house. Go figure......

Hi, i have got 3 tumbling toms that are in flower at the moment, i had them in a plastic greenhouse thingy, however i have just put them outside on the patio to "harden up". Do you think that i should be feeding them as they are in flower? I am sooooo confused as to whether is should or not, as i do realise that it's a bit too early to put them outside permanently.
    Thanks for any advice.

Mine are at the same stage, planted in tubs now, in my front porch which is like a mini greenhouse. Did you need to do anything to fertilise the flowers, since they are indoors? I read somewhere about tapping the plant gently to fertilise the flowers? Do you need to do this when they are growing indoors? This is the first time I've grown them inside.
    Thanks!

Tapping gently, or as in the porch every time you go by will do the job, and perhaps as summer gets on leave the porch door / windows open in daytime sun or you may bake them
