I have a couple of cheap 85Mbps homeplugs from ebuyer ..

Currently just under £50 a pair (although the price changes almost every day - I got mine a couple of months ago for £36.99).

Fantastic piece of kit - worked straight out of the box, and connecting at around 80Mbps (with one of them in an extension bar). With both of them in extension bars (one surge protected) the speed dropped to around 70Mbps but still absolutely rock solid connection.

    Highly recommended.

what cable would i need to connect 1 homeplug to my pc, i currently have cat5 going from the pc to my router so would cat 5e do or does it have to be cat5

Just a standard network Cat5 cable is all you need ....one from the router to a homeplug, and then one from the other homeplug to PC ... the ebuyer ones I have came with 2 network cables included.
