            You could be subtle and ring her just to confirm the arrangement and ask if he has a new fangled E111 now called EHIC . Mention that your family have also got full travel insurance and ask if her son is covered on their policy , and if so , could you have a copy together with an authorisation letter. I would also remind her of her manners (lol) but I guess you might be pushing it there. Have a great time , and if at all possible , try and get the chance to meet them . HTH0

            Working for travel insurance abroad you can get package family but the most important thing is some credit card come with cover at little extra cost if any,
amex ,for exemptel........ also but you can only do this once you get a c/c from Egg, Smile, they offer something like £7/month....when you come back you cancel it
Make sure that they will allow you to cancelle it so must check the conditions.
P&O sell AA cover I believe.
Other wise the best cover ever is with ACE (come wiht a credit card as well) but the all family is coverd, the car the lot.
