Everyone's raving about this stuff so I feel I'm missing something by not having it!

Is it just for dark circles under eyes? I'm intrigued!

Yes, it's really a highligher.. ie: it's supposed to reflect the light in the correct way as to not show dark circles as much,.. oh I don't know, it's a good concealer too.. it doesn't look 'caked' on, it just sinks in but works somehow???

It makes me feel better anyway so well worth the money. I will be hoping for a 'wet mop smell' free one next time though!

ps: my OH said recently that I've been looking alot nicer.. he hasn't a clue what I put on my face so wouldn't know it's make-up that's doing it! he thinks it's because I've given up the cigarettes but I recon it's the touche eclat! :T
  • There are loads of reviews of Touche Eclat here and a few people mention the erm 'odour problem'. :)

I have used touche eclat for a few years now. I did have one that went a bit smelly - but my last 2 have been fine.

I've heard some good reviews about diors skinflash. Does anyone know where you can get it reasonable priced. Any other alternatives?

Did a quick search on Froogle for Skinflash :
    Cheapest was:
    http://www.lapreya.com/acatalog/DiorSkinflash.html

Don't know if that is particualrly cheap or not as I do not know the RRP.

As for alternatives, quite a few of the reviews on this site suggested possible alternatives - you could check the reviews for the alternatives and see how thay are rated in comparison?

Also try http://www.epinions.com/content_193444155012 for more reviews - only 1 on there for Touche Eclat which suggests maybelline everfresh concealer as a cheaper (£4.99) alternative?

I used Touche Eclait for years, even when moneysaving would go without anything else to have it :o

Tried Skinflash which is very good but just the same as Touche Eclait I think. Also it is 1.5ml instead of 2.5ml I think.

Then recently tried this No 7 one because of free gift with it. It is £11.50 (with free mascara for over £10 spend at the moment, plus advantage card points - 200 points with No 7 purchase in Boots magazine at the moment) and it is so good! I am really impressed and convinced it is the same stuff as the other two.

It's pen container thing isn't quite as sexy as the others though

Thanks for the top tips ...

I hadn't even heard about the maybelline one ... but I'll certainly be taking a look.

Ahh a fellow bootser ... thanks for the tip about the no7 one ... as if I needed an excuse to go into boots again ;) And I had been sulking about picking up 2 bogof suncare 'thingys' the other day and forgetting to get my free mascara .... looks like I will be getting it after all!!

You don't need to find an excuse to go into Boots peanut, just embrace the addiction like I have :D

Can a guy wear this without it being at all noticeable that you are wearing make-up? I have darkish circles under my eyes and I've read that make-up artists use this on actors to hide things like this. Too scared to ask at a make-up counter so thought I'd ask my MSE friends.......

You could try this product which is specifically for men - not cheap (£2 more than the Eclat stuff, perhaps less if you shop around) - but at least it is all natural ingredients. Haven't tried it though so cannot comment on its effectiveness.

Living Nature Firming Eye Gel for Men.
A firming gel to help slow down the signs of aging while nourishing and supporting the eye area. A non-greasy formulation which is easily absorbed.

I don't know what the ingredients of Touche Eclat are but I would be wary of putting anything with certain ingredients near my eyes - see sites like the Ecologist (what's behind the label feature) to see what they put into a lot of the big name brand beauty and cosmetics products.

I've got some bad news about touche eclat.. I've been using it now for a couple of months and was initially very impressed.. however, over the past few days I have aquired very dry, itchy and red patches where I have been applying this product. I have never, ever, suffered from sensitive skin so I'm quite shocked about this as it's very noticeable and now I look worse than I did before I started using it.

I am wondering if (because mine was one of the smelly ones) it was actually 'OFF' and therefore that is why I have reacted like this? has anyone else had a bad reaction?

I can't think it's any of my other face creams that has done this as I've used them for ages and it's only under the eyes where I have had this soreness.
