hello there:hello:
Goodness, a few days away from the thread and it runs away from me. I shall sit and catch up in a minute.
Been just a bit busy these last few days, but as for AF June, I had one glass on Monday but none yesterday or today. I haven't set a target yet - How does 20 days sound?
I missed last month's by a couple but stillf eel as if I was moderate and in control (mainly because I have no social life at the moment!).
Have a good evening

...anyway my reasons behind wanting to cut down (apart from the obvious) are more to do with my everyday health rather than government/medics etc. guidelines...
Hi Orchid, I know exactly what you mean about feeling carp because of drinking. I was just a bit surprised at the varying levels recommended and the fact some countries don't change the amount for women.
Well done on the money saving and waistline slimming Daddy stays at home!
Prof WBF eh WB! I really should drink more, it stops me waffling intelligent bs and changes it to the other kind!
I want to cut down and have some AF Days, no question. But I have struggled to believe in the rec levels of 14 a week and in particular however many a day. And this makes you realise the experts don't agree on that level of detail. They agree that a lot of booze is bad though so I can't kid myself too much. But fascinating all the different levels. And the more generous ones don't appear to be the ones you'd think - ok, maybe Australia decided if they didn't double the units no red-blooded Australian would take them seriously! Not trying to offend any antipodeans, really.

hello
May I join u guys pls? I rarely go a night without a drink and would love to cut down - we (me and OH) have about 3 AFD's per month at the moment and we really could use the money elsewhere, my prob is wine, I come from a family of big drinkers and it has become a coping mechanism
Would love to join here as will keep me motivated

Hi escapism,
Welcome! Good luck with your aims and hopes. You are here near the beginning of our June challenge so I'm sure 40 something mum will be happy to add you to our list of challengers if you want to set a target for June AFDs. Or there are some folks who prefer to have no target and count them up a day at a time.0
