BB, that table looks amazing!!! Good luck with your table newmee. :)

The headboard went for over £30 and the cupboard is already over £20 so it seems that I won't get either of them, boo hoo. :(

Here you go, newmee! You can't see the pedestal very well, but it will give you an idea of how it might look once it's painted :)

:D The big smile says it all......I WON!!!!! yeah me. I pick it up in the morning. I've measured my little Corsa so hope I got it right and I can wedge it in!! lol

I've almost got an 'omg, what have I done' feeling, but this project is exactly what I need to focus on and get back to my old self (another story)

Bibbitybob thanks for the PM offer. I may just do that as I think I need a confidence boost / idiot check / noddy guide to get going!!

Tara shame...although don't go mad and over bid!!! It may not be 'meant-to-be' and something even better will come up soon?! (no consolation really when you feel like it's got your name all over it though is it!?)

Will I need a sander for the table top and hand do the pedestal? oooooh the excitement. :j

The table & chairs were my first attempt at painting (there's a story behind it but I'll save that for another day ;) ), so if I can do it you certainly can! I sanded it all by hand but a mouse sander would save time. I only ever sand lightly to key a surface, I don't bother stripping whole finishes usually.

Good evening Ladies - has been so long since my last post. Been ever so busy.

I have a few Q's - hope you dont mind me asking :D

I love Farrow and Ball Dimity - I want to use it for my furniture BUT they only have the Eco eggshell in my homebase and it is waterbased, has anyone any experience of waterbased egg shell or any idea where i can get oil based?

And the Cath Kidston Paper (Used on a BEAUTIFUL dolls house in this thread) - where can i get this i have purchased some MDF letters and i would love to cover them for my "Dimity" dresser

BTW i have loved looking at everyones pictures and i am now inspired to start a blog
    Thank you all x o

  • Lolly I believe people use Cath Kidston paper napkins. You can get these quite cheaply from CK or Ebay. Tesco have some lovely shabby chic style paper napkins at the mo (floral and union jack styles). I've not tried this yet but will do at some point soon.
