Sky remote control

Hi everyone, My digibox has packed up and I have been offered another one without a remote control.
So, will my old black remote control work a Pace DS440N Box which I think had a white remote originally?

You can only buy the one replacement handset for digiboxes, so I presume it works all boxes.

i believe there are two types of sky digibox remote control.. the original type and another type of control for the sky+ boxes with hard drive recovers in them. SFAIK, the two types are not compatible, or at least the old type cannot properly control the new digiboxes. new controls are less than £10 so you may as well get the correct one.

You should have no problem using your old black (dark blue?) remote as the DS440N is a standard digibox and would have come originally with the same series remote.

There is a way of getting the Sky plus remote to work the standard box. hunt around on google, i did it with mine some years ago!

Three types of Sky remote:
Standard
Sky+
Sky+ and HD

All come in different revision numbers that determine which TV sets they can control. If you have a newish TV you may need a Rev.8 remote.
