hello 2nd post today so please don't get fed up with me ha ha, collected my holiday tickets today but i had no luggage labels in them when i read small print says they don't supply them anymore, so does anyone know where i could get some luggage tags free if possible, i have goggled for them but they are all fancy Nancy ones, all i want is a basic template with Name, destination, and so on. i have tried doing my own on Microsoft word but cant get sizes right so gave up.

    thank you

I got mine from Ikea. A set of 3 in bright colours and very lasting. Never seen them being used, so it's how I identify my suitcase in the mat hehe

We travelled last summer to the Dominican Republic with Thomas Cook. We were not issued with luggage labels. This in fact caused a problem at the other end because our suitcases were off-loaded at a different hotel to the one we were staying at. The bell-boys deal with the case, stowing them on to the bus and taking them out at the other side. They try to put them in areas according to drop-off but clearly this system goes wrong.

We were the only people left on the bus, the Thomas Cook rep had left the coach several stops beforehand. The driver was gesturing for us to get off but we knew we were at the wrong place. Anyway, what he was trying to show us was the emply bowels of the bus. We ended up having to re-trace our steps (on the bus obviously) until our luggage was located. After a 9 hour flight, this was a delay we could have done without.

Still, all was well in the end but it was the lack of a label stating which hotel we were going to which caused the problem.

I guess you may have a point, I never do packages so dont have that problem.

You have no idea how pleased I am at finding this. Started to panic as I

fly tomorrow and have no luggage labels. A cut up cardboard box and string, just great and saving me money lol:beer:

I don't use luggage labels. But I do selotape an A4 sheet of paper inside the lid with my hotel details and my mobile number going out, and home address and mobile number coming back. I have done this for donkeys years ever since there was a spate of burglaries around Mcr and the thing they had in common was that the householders had all flown out from Mcr airport.

I used to also tie a red ribbon round the handle so I could identify my case on the carousel, but this year I bought a bright pink zebra stripe case, which is great because no-one else seems to have one (can't imagine why :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
