luggage tags

hello 2nd post today so please don't get fed up with me ha ha, collected my holiday tickets today but i had no luggage labels in them when i read small print says they don't supply them anymore, so does anyone know where i could get some luggage tags free if possible, i have goggled for them but they are all fancy Nancy ones, all i want is a basic template with Name, destination, and so on. i have tried doing my own on Microsoft word but cant get sizes right so gave up.

thank you

i travelled for years without them. you're as well putting a sheet of A4 paper on top of the contents of your case with your name / address / contact number on.
if you want some distinguishing marks on your case you can just tie something round a handle

Depending on which airline you are flying with, you may be able to get them at check in. However I am with neilbond007, I have not used them for a long time.
    Gone ... or have I?

You can print some off HERE along with a holiday checklist and currency cheat sheet. Be aware though that some people think they use a lot of ink as the background is blue, but IMO that would only cost pennies.

Just remember when flying out only put your outbound details on the tag NEVER include you home address as this has been used in the past by less than honest baggage handlers who tell there burglar mates what address and how long you are away.

The pound shops sell them (for £1), but if its thomas cook you're going with, when you get to the airport go to the Tcook desk and they'll give you some to put on your cases if its not Tc then im sure the other operators will do the same. Oh unless its a low cost carrier nearly forgot about them.
Personally like the others dont use them just put a ribbon on mine as the the airline have all the info they need on the barcode they stick on it.

I am another who hasnt used them for years. I do put an A4 sheet inside with name and address on though. I dont padlock my luggage either, I use cable ties.

Great minds and all that Neil eh ;)

This is what i do. I also use cable ties rather than padlocks to as if customs have to get in they will and i'd rather lose a cable tie than a suitcase zip.

I can get past cable ties but as a rule they are much better than padlocks.

Re the baggage tags I dont bother, and as previously stated I just put an A4 sheet of paper on the top of the inside of my bag with my hotel details.
