How do I move the bottom task bar

Thanks all for trying to help but tried all ideas and will give up now as I have lost my patience. I will look again in a few days.A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. Just to give an update.
Again I did everything from before and no joy so I then removed as many icons off in the bottom right hand corner but still no joy. Lastly I stopped my BetaClock application runing and I have now been able to move the task bar to the top, bottom, right and left.
But now I can do it I really don't like it on the left BUT when I put it back to the bottom I was able to make it thinner than I had before.
